Today when we got up we were almost in Jamaica so we figured we'd go for breakfast, get our chairs in the solarium and go the the craft market Gail told us about right by the pier. I forgot Gail can't find her way home from around the corner and by the pier turned out to be about 1 mile away. It was sunny and very hot and I thought I'd die before we got there. When we walked through the gates a Jamaican mon (I know I spelled it wrong) told us he would show us where the market was and being naive (don't anyone laugh) we followed him. Looking back now, that was pretty stupid. Firstly no one told us they are an hour behind us and most places wouldn't even open for another hour. Secondly, like I've already stated it took us about 50 minutes to walk there and back in this intense heat. My face was beet red and my hands were so swollen that the ring on my middle finger was going to stop the circulation. We looked (the the few places that were open) for about 5 minutes and turned around and Alan (the Jamaican mon) insisted on walking us back to the gate. He said a tip would be greatly appreciated and I said I had nothing small and he was out of luck.
We got to our chairs and I went into the pool (which I found out yesterday was freezing) to try and cool the body off and to reduce the swelling in my fingers. I couldn't get my ring off for 3 hours but I finally won the battle.
It's now 1:30 AM and I'm finally going to finish today off. Went to the concierge lounge and got lots and lots of corks that they've been saving for me. Had lots of laughs at dinner and had a birthday cake for Royce. Our waiter (his name is Dhanapala) and our asst. waiter (her name is Sherma) are excellent and they never asked us to see our soda cards which I find unusual. The soda flows like water at our table. Then we all went to the Love and Marriage game which was hilarious. James (the CD) is really funny and a good ad-libber (have no idea how to spell that) and we really had a good time.
Went to the casino (for a change) and then Gail, Dennis, Carol and I went for coffee and sat around B.S. ing for a while so here I am finally.
Tomorrow we will be in Grand Cayman but as far as we're concerned it will be a sea day.
