Today was another great day for all of us. After a late breakfast we took a ferry to Bald Head Island and upon arriving there we rented 2 golf carts that we had reserved in advance. We drove around the island (Richard Gere has a home here) looking at gorgeous homes (I would take any one of them). It is a very exclusive island where no cars are allowed. The only vehicles allowed are contractors that are working on homes and police and emergency vehicles. We stopped at a few stores where once again I was determined to help our sagging economy.
We all came home exhausted from the heat and sun and most of us took naps before dinner and of course more wine.
After dinner we went to the beach hoping to see turtles hatching but we weren't lucky enough tonight and will try again tomorrow. They say it is a fascinating thing to see so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. It's now after midnight as I'm writing this with another glass of wine. Everyone brought different bottles to sample and after all, I do have to do my part.
